John Sargeant, sounds to me like your hanging out to pollinate your flowers.
I wouldn't if I were you.
Your plant would be far too small for a start and you don't want a pumpkin
growing too close to the roots. It will grow and crush your plant.
It takes about 60 days for a pumpkin to grow. We still have about 120 days
to go. Don't jump the gun!
There is an old saying " Slowly slowly catchy monkey"
You can't take a big bucket of mush to the weigh-off and say it's a pumpkin.
Besides................what would happen to the war.....you would have to
surrender!
