Thanks for the note. On my screen I see the message and then the MIME
characters all listed after the message. So I guess I am getting the best
of both worlds. Like the Juno because it keeps me off the phone line.
My computer is an old IBM value point 433dx/si very very slow and
minimum amount of memory (ram). Great set up for a cheap Scot.
So who do I talk too about the REAL secrets of giant pumpkins? How much
for a couple of seeds from a 1000 pounder? I've heard you can do just as
well from small parent stock i.e. 450 to 500 pound seeds. I thought I
might try boring a deep hole, such as one might do with an extra large
post hole digger and then fill it with manure/compost. But I see most of
the suggestions are for mounding which I guess would have the same
benefits as raised beds. Anyone doing the Green /translucent plastic?
Do I have to cover the whole 40 sq ft ? Is there a log book document
that tells exactly how and when each manipulation/fertilization was done
on the champion pumpkins? I am curious if you grow or when you put a fork
truck pallet under the fruit and then add the shade cloth?? Help me
out..PLEASE! I am old and don't have another life time to enjoy the
"fruits" of my labor indefinitely.
Thanking you all profusely (in advance)
Chuck
