I was looking over the top 700+ pumpkins and realized that Duncan might be
onto something with his top 1000......It is beneficial to know how many of
a certain seed was tried that didn't reach the top 700. This way you could
get a feel for the ratio of success........there is value in knowing the
under 700's parentage especially the mother plant. Seems like a huge
endeaver but if on a entry form the grower no matter what its size would
put the mother seed used you could then get an idea how many planted a
certain seed...Or if a grower would fill out a survey.....once the info was
compiled.....If all growers work together on this no matter if your a heavy
hitter or not we could help obtain many results we could help ourselves
make better more educated choices.......just a thought and willing to do my
part......brock
