We had slugs really bad a couple years ago. We used a crude but very
effective method to get rid of most of them. Get an old butter knife and
sharpen it on both sides and the end as sharp as possible. the sharpened
end should be squared off somewhat. Attach it
to a stick or some type of light weght handle about 3 feet long. Take
your weapon out at night well after dark with a flashlight and search
them out.One quick slice and the slug is cut in two. When I first
started using this tool I killed over 500 eaach night in less than an
hour each time. A few nights of this and your slugs will be decimated!
My dad who is 88
invented the device. We call it the slug slicer. We really should patent
it, I've seen dumber
things patented. Another advantage is that when you are done each night
you will still have your beer. Good luck!
