Merry Christmas Everyone,
Santa is on his way about now, and I just finished spreading my cow manure for
the season. All six sites recieved between 12 and 14 yards of manure. I
tried two of the site with sifted manure and 4 unsifted, we shall see if it
makes any difference. The seeds are rolling in, thank you everyone who has
sent me seeds, and yes even those Jack-Be-Littles were appreciated. Seed
selection will be difficult this year with all the large pumpkins grown in
1997, that makes for a lot of great parent seed to chose from. Oh well, such
is life.
Here is an update on the sites from the Hester patch in Canby, Oregon.
Site #1- 33 X 40 feet, sifted manure. One of the new sites in 1998. Manure
is all spread out. Temp. seed choice, the #977 Anderson 97.
Site #2- 33 X 40 feet, sifted manure. The other new site for 1998. Manure is
all spread out. Temp. seed choice, the #511 Woodward 93.
Site #3- 33 x 40 feet, composted manure. Site which grew the #598 in 1997.
Manure is all spread out. Temp. seed choice, the #910 Nelson 94.
Site #4- 33 X 40 feet, composted manure. Site which grew the #676 in 1996.
Manure is all spread out. Temp. seed choice, the #804 Zehr 94.
Site #5- 33 X 40 feet, composted manure. Site which grew the famous #627.5
back in 1995. Manure is all spread out. Temp. seed choice, the #676 LaRue.
Site #6- 33 X 40 feet, composted manure. Site which grew the monster #627.5
plant which had pumpkins which exploded and actually healed and grew to 400
lbs+. Manure is all spread out. Temp. seed choice, the #792 Holland 93.
Take care all and to all a good night.
