Jan, if the leaf stem is in the way cut it off. It's only one leaf.
Move that pumpkin 90 degrees to the vine but do it a bit at a time
in the middle of the day.......that's if your home at that time.
Wait until you know that the pumpkin is well and truely set before
you cut any vines away from the area.
When it's bigger that a basketball then cut that vine that's in the way
and cut any roots off the vine near your pumpkin.
Don't forget to give it some shade, And keep them damn elephants
out of your patch.....we have all seen what they can do to a pumpkin
You don't want that leaf blowing around and scatching your pumpkin.
lets face it.................ya gotta grow a pretty pumpkin.
