If anyone wants to induce extra root development they could try a dilute
solution of indolebutyricacid (rootone). I'd try it on the buried stems
and leaf axis. Every 3-4 weeks pour it on the surface above where you want
it and then maybe stop when you go into full time fruit development. Roger
