Found these descriptions in my (Garden Seed Inventory)-(fourth
edition) Seed Savers Exchange book, I thought they were kind of interesting so
I'm passing them on to the group.
Atlantic Giant---110-125 days--Huge upright round orange fruits
weighing up to 800 lb., developed by the Dill family of Nova Scotia from
Goderich Giant, Genuine Mammoth Tours seedstock, introduced as a public
variety in 1978 by Howard Dill, this variety is often confused with the PVP
variety "Dill's Atlantic Giant," which was derived by Howard Dill from the
same seed pool but is longer, less tall and generally smaller.
Atlantic Giant, Dill's--110-125-- days Huge, red-orange skin, orange
flesh, dev. by Howard Dill of Nova Scotia, often confused with the non-PVP
variety "Atlantic Giant" which was also developed by and released by the dill
family, this variety is longer and not as tall as "Atlantic Giant," PVP 1986

Giant Pumpkin, Burgess-- Seed from Howard Dill of Nova Scotia whose
438.5 lb. pumpkin set a world record in 1979, 225-300 lb. fruits are common,
especially suited for Northern areas.
