The same thing has happend to some of my plants the past two years as well.
No signs of anythng wrong, then a wilted leaf, and boom...Mush!
If you get to it in time, you can dry out the mush spot.
But, it doesn't take long to wreck a healthy vine.
I wonder if this isn't some new disease we're all having?
I'm not so sure it's Phyto.
Mine came up negative for that kinda thing.
