Re: Flat vine
I have grown many flat vines and double vines and seen no relation to the
genetics of the plant. I asked around about what causes this and learned
that it is the result of chemical imbalance. This gives a large possibility
of causes from nutrient, hormone, environment, or disease caused problem.
The largest flat vine I have grown was over 36 inches in diameter and more
than 80 " in circumference. They are fun to watch but when left to continue
expanding do not yield themselves to produce fruit very easily. Dose anyone
else have any input as to the cause of the flat vines?
