Angela,
My pollinator site are designed for one plant in each that I want the genetics
from, but also may not be up to the task of growing a 1000 pounder. More
specifically, these sites are for experimental seeds that look great on paper,
but are unproven. For instance take the #865 Mettler 98. Nice cross, a 946.5
Geerts x #567.5 Mombert that weighed heavy for its size, but the problem is,
it is a new seed, and who knows what will happen in 1999. Although I do have
pleanty of sites, I also have some good proven stock to put in those sites.
Enter Pollinator sites. Each pollinator site is 15 x 20 feet, big enough to
get a decent plant, but not quite enough to get a super monster. It is enough
to give me an idea of what those new seeds are capable of doing as well as
giving me some kick butt genetics to pollinate with.
Hope this helps,
The Pumpkinguru
