The answer to your question depends on the moisture content of the manure.
The more water in the material the heavier it will weigh. In 96' I hauled 30
yards of manure to my patch in my pickup truck. One yard at a time
obviously. For curiosity sake each time I loaded I would run over the truck
scale
to get a weight reading. I found that a relatively dry manure mix weighed on
average about 1000-1200 lbs. per yard. Wet it can weigh up to 1800 lbs..
Thus if you are purchasing such amendments in bulk you are often better of
paying for it by cubic measurement Vs. weight.
