Re: shade cloth

Doug, Mike, Chris,

This year I used shade cloth for the first few weeks while the plants were
small and just staring to vine. I was behind on getting the misting system
up so this was the only way I could cool the ground around the vine was 50%
shade cloth. I put in "T" posts to support the shade cloth to protect the
plants from the direct mid day sun. The plant received morning and late
afternoon sun. When the plants grew out from under the shade cloth I had
the misters installed. I would suspect the plants would have wilted from
not being hardened by the heat but with the misters all was fine.
