Subject: Seeds and One
ton cross colorado weight
Well Joe Scherber in Denver grew a 680 LB.
pumpkin up in Denver Colorado [with good genetics], and with the one ton
cross [1006x1061] seeds, I did grow one pumpkin weighing 419.6 LBS. in
Colorado Springs Colorado, elevation 6,500 [Joe's elevation in Denver is
5,400] which is a new city record! The old record here was 352, so with
some help from other growers around the nation, maybe others can help me
challenge Denver's top dog! If ANYONE has seeds they think can help my
goal of getting near a 700 LB. pumpkin, please respond to my e-mail
address or this site. Most other growers with the 1006x1061 cross around
the nation didn't even have as much luck getting a big pumpkin with that
strain, so perhaps if someone who thinks they have a "special"
strain that I can surpass 420 LBS. with, please let me know. I will be
happy to pay for seeds if free seeds are
unavailable!
