RE: cloches/coldframes/greenhouses

Jeff: Mine are made from glass, plywood and 2x4's the glass is hinged and
removable. The glass was free from a local window place, they have so many
old windows and doors that the pickings were great!! most glass places throw
them all into a dumpster to be recycled. the problem i find with plastic is
that after a season or two it starts to deteriorate from the sun's UV's.

Call them what you will, but I need to improve on mine. I found out very
quickly this year that my coldframes were way too small. I am curious as
to what types of protection other people are using and what they are made
from. I would like to build something out of PVC because of the low cost,
but my problem last year was holding the plastic on the frame. Any
thoughts?
