all
the necessary equipment for climate control.
The 816 was not a one off, as he has also grown several other GP's up to
and
2 Lbs over 700 Lbs. Growing under such controlled and advantageous
conditions
i guess that a grower in such a position is taking GP Growing to a
professional level.
I am not envious but just thought i would give my pennies worth if anyone

Mike T....this kind of information is always interesting. Thanks for sharing
it with us.You also mentioned a few months ago that that UK record pumpkin
came in well below the charts weight wise. So,although you can control some
of the factors...perhaps weighing light might not be one of them all the
time.It would be interesting to know how many sunny days he got last summer
and in what patterns.I would think you can control excessive sunshine but not
too little. You can modify the temps to work for you and moisture in the form
of rain and humidity. Greenhouse guys like Bob-- what can and cant you really
control even in a greenhouse.I cannot believe you have growlights set up 4"
above the plants for those cloudy days!
Mike---I thought I say a TV program a while ago(early 80's) with Bernard
Lavery working on his giant veggies on a rooftop.Does he grow under glass
too?I see he had the record over there for a while at somewhere around 710lbs.
Maybe Will Nielly can offer some input here?.........G
