California Growers Meeting
I just got back from the California Growers meeting at Elk Grove. Great
meeting. We had a panel of "experts," winners or high placers in weigh-offs.
The panel came from areas with different climate and soil conditions. This
was very helpful, since it made clear that there is no universally applicable
advice. Growers in cold areas need much more fertilizer than those in
temperate areas, for example. Sandy and clay soil + avg. temp. determine
whether or drip irrigation is profitable. And so on.

other helpers.
