Re: stump rot
It would help the list ifyou defined the "good ingredients" Doug. FOr example, I
would imagine alot of problems would come from having resh manure in the
beginning of the season, whether it made the mix too hot, or had some fresh root
maggots in it. The starting hole is a great idea, but be careful of the inititial
ingredients, because as the soil heats up with the temps, so does any winter
dormant pests... Also if it is too wet, you may be setting yourself up for a
bacterial infection...
