spring fever

Here in northern Minnesota near the Canadian border, we're experiencing
quite an early spring. Here it's Feb. 25, and my pumpkin patch has been snow
free for 6 days. Last night I could dig down 8" before hitting frost. My
earliest tilling date was 3 years ago on March 13, may beat that this year.
It's kind of nice to be able to drive my truck on the lake icefishing in the
morning, and work the garden in the afternoon. Won't be long and the wood
ticks will be out.
My goals this summer will be to beat my 17'.5" high corn stock record of
last year, and to better my 837 pumpkin of last year. Only 61 days left till
germination. Happy Growing. Pumpkinpiper
