wood ashes are a good soure for potash as for changes in soil ph it
relates to the type of wood you burn oak is more asidic than maple and
if you burn any magazines or treated lumber scraps i don't think you
should put those ashes on your garden at all i remember reading an
artice about not putting wood ashes on your garden every year but don't
remember the reason why i hope this helps you good luck deb
