List members,
It is that time of year when the Pennsylvania Giant Pumpkin Grower's
Association hold their annual Seed Auction Fundraiser. Last year the
PGPGA conducted the first live 2 week auction and helped raise some much
needed funds to keep the PGPGA afloat. Seeds are put up for bid, and
through generous donations by big hearted pumpkin growers, we have been
able to keep our expenses low in order to run a global organization such
as the PGPGA.
The 2001 PGPGA Seed Auction will run from now until the following
Sunday, February 18th when it will conclude in a chat room to be
determined. We are attempting to have a chat room added to our PGPGA
site ( http://www.pgpga.com ) but if it can not be completed by the
18th, we will find an alternative chat room to end the bids in. It will
be a live ending, so please plan on attending, a 2 hour chat that will
include some suprises for those in attendance (No, Im not coming out of
the closet).
The PGPGA welcomes all to bid if they want, or those who wish not to
participate may still come to the chat room for pumpkin talk galore on
the 18th. The website will keep an updated list of the high bid, amount
of bids per lot, and also the high bidder. Seed selections are
strategically put together, as some have the seed and one of its parent
seeds coupled with it for a nice back cross, or maybe some of the same
genetic line to keep it pure, or maybe even the green lot which includes
2 800 pound squash seeds for those who wish to go green.
Good luck to all bidders, and if there are any questions, please email
me privately at rocky.r@cyber-quest.com .
