Re: 2 per family?

>Are singles at a disadvantage?

;-)

You must be joking. ;-) A disadvantage is when you
are married, and have 5 kids. (Not that I'm complaining.)
You come home from work, and the kids have covered the
garage doors in mud. You try lecturing them,... but they are
not at the age to comprehend the issue. You take time to
wash the exterior of the house.

Then you pick up the rocks in the lawn. The toys strewn
about when you need to mow. Bryce has lost his Batman
action figures in the patch. Elise has defoliated the
Maple tree. And its only June.

From your wife's perspective, the Atlantic Giants are just
those things that keep you from doing "real work".

And then, you have space for 4 AG plants, but you also
have 3 times that amount of space in corn, tomatoes, peas,
beans, etc., and your wife just had a baby so you actually
have to take care of that stuff as well.

Please don't think that I'm complaining, I'm smiling when
I write this... point being that everyone will have a
different circumstance. If I were a retired empty nester,
well then, I can certainly dream.

From my perspective, I just want to weigh it if I grow it.
Maybe let people enter one, but weigh several others, just
for a chance to get it on the scale? Of course, it depends
a lot on how many people show up and how many strong arms
you have to get the gourds on and off the scales.

Regards, Cliff
