Re: Punkin Chunkin
We have been into the punkin chucking for the last couple of years - using a
trebuchet (spelling???) and this year threw a 200# pumpkin (loser in our
home town biggest pumpkin contest) over 100 feet. Threw a 16 # bowling ball
over 1100 feet and hit a buddy's deer blind at 963 ft. with a 12-14#
pumpkin. Also threw fire balls (bowling ball wrapped in gas soaked foam)
and "comets" (bowlingball wrapped with burning magnesium shavings held with
screen). The brain power and force behind the foolishness owns the farm
supply store in town and probably will be willing to share some secrets as
well as a picture of the 60' high machine - - -just don't tell him how to
get the giant pumpkin seeds cause I HAVE TO BEAT HIM NEXT YEAR !!!!
