Good question on compensation, so I will send this to the bulletin board.
I usually just link people up, so I don't often know the actual deal. But,
it's off season and all a matter of supply and demand....and their budget. Start
out premium pricing and transportation is paid by them (of course)
Top price is probably no more than the cost of a Funkin pumpkin. Most of
these people want a real JOL, as each one has it's own unique character. Once you
reach the price of a Funkin, they have another option to choose from. Funkins
are usually in stock at Pand P Seed.
Some have a tigh budget, and don't want to deal much. Others are all but
desparate. They have planned a photo shoot, spent money and don't have the star
actor under contract.....pumpkins.
I will get 5-10 requests in the off season. Last year, I had a request from
the folks at "Fear Factor" for 200 of them in May or June. Nobody could fill
the need.
