RE: Tomato Seed (Recommendations)

Sue, I'm starting to run low & many are reserved for selling on ebay but you
can do a standard envelope SASE. I don't try to grow giant tomatoes, I grow
for taste, but some are large without trying.

Take a standard small 6-1/2" envelope, put your address on it, put a stamp on
it and stick it in the larger size std envelope (#10) or fold it & stick it in
another 6-1/2" envelope, addressed to me, with a stamp on it of course.

If still interested, look at the thread and go to the link & see some of the
pics and pic out 2 or 3. Let me know & then I'll give you address info.

Mark

Marv & George, (& Pirate Kevin & Alan N. & Mark M. & Alan & Dave B. etc)
check
the link below, then e-mail me. See especially Mexico, Neves, Brianna,
Gregori's Altai, Italian Sweet, Polish, German, etc. At least the ones there
taste really great too. Some were over 2 lbs naturally, without even trying
ANYTHING--no thinning, no manure, no pinching flowers, poor soil, etc.
There's
something in every color including orange.

I sent seeds out to about 4 or 5 people but only heard back from Kevin so
far,
anybody else I sent seeds please let me know how they did, both size AND
taste.

I have been trying to grow a giant tomato for several years but have not
been as successful as I would like. I have been growing Big Zac and getting
the
seeds from Totally Tomatoes. I was told that they have an exclusive
arrangement to make this seed but that many were not satisfied with the
results they
got growing it. It was felt that Totally Tomatoes was not making the
hybrid

seed correctly. Anyway, I am wondering if any of you have heard this and if
so
where you might be getting your Big Zac seed. There are some other places
selling it but I don't know where they are getting their seed since they
are
not
part of the exclusive arrangement.

I grow about 120 plants every year and have found the following grow the
biggest for me. Delicious (Burpee), Big Beef (Most any good name brand),
and
Monster (P&P). I have had poor results with Totally Tomatoes seeds in the
past.
One of the things I feed my Tomatoes is Dry Fish Based Cat Food. I
trench
it in-between the rows. Since I can't grow Pumpkins for a few years do to
soil disease I have been growing giant Tomatoes, Sunflowers and Gourds,
though
the picture listed below is from a few years ago. If you go to the link
listed
below you can see a picture of one of my Big Beef Tomatoes.
