Re: pumpkins DIGEST V1 #226

I have been trying to grow a giant tomato for several years but have not
been as successful as I would like. I have been growing Big Zac and getting
the
seeds from Totally Tomatoes. I was told that they have an exclusive
arrangement to make this seed but that many were not satisfied with the
results they
got growing it. It was felt that Totally Tomatoes was not making the hybrid

seed correctly. Anyway, I am wondering if any of you have heard this and if
so
where you might be getting your Big Zac seed. There are some other places
selling it but I don't know where they are getting their seed since they are
not
part of the exclusive arrangement.

the company that was doing the hybridizing for totally tomatoes messed up the big zac hybrid and had to go back
and get the original parents from Mini Zaccar who created the variety. this happened 2 years ago. So big zac now sold by totally tomatoes
is the same as the original when it was first grown. But as of this writing totally tomatoes is out of big zac seed at least according to their
web site
