Many university studies have been done on GA3 treated plants. Commercial
preparations of GA3 are used routinely on Florida grown Cucumbers to improve
cool weather growth.
No university studies are done on AGs (that get published at least), so
determining how many 1300 pounders have resulted isn't possible. However
there is nothing in a GA3 treatment that would lessen one's chances at 1300.
But personally I think if someone keeps a 723 in their sock drawer for
another 12 years, then perhaps they don't deserve to grow it at all. LOL
It is much better to grow a rare seed & self or sib it to keep the seed-line
viable than it is to keep saving it even under good storage conditions. IMHO
anyway.

Reading these posts and others along the same lines leads me to ask:
Have any studies been done concerning follow-up on seed-starting tricks,
from filing to soaking to aerating?
Say you still have a 723 Bobier a dozen years from now but it's looking a
bit worse for wear. If you can get it to germinate - using every trick in
the book - can you then get it to grow out another 1300 pounder?
Thanks in advance for replying.
