Has anyone tried using coconut fiber pots as a substitute for peat pots?

(disclaimer: I'm not assocoated with this vendor, and I'm sure these are availble elsewhere)
They come in sizes as large as 10 inches square, much bigger than any peat pot I've seen, which would allow me to start earlier in the greenhouse and transplant a much bigger plant in the ground without having to use plastic pots.
They are designed for hydroponics, so I don't know if they would break down and loosen up enough for the large roots of an Atlantic Giant.
