I would have to say most of the chemicals are in the coffee itself. brewed
out of the grounds.

water
caffeine
methanol
ethanol
butanol
methylbutanol
acetaldehyde
methyl formate
dimethyl sulfide
propionaldehyde
pyridine
acetic acid
furfural
furfuryl alcohol
acetone
methyl acetate
furan
methylfuran
and finally
diacetyl isoprene.
how about a good cup of Joe???
for some reason I do not drink it........

Are coffee grounds REALLY beneficial for growing the biggies? We use a lot
of compost, but I would worry that there are "things" (chemicals) in the
grounds which would not make pumkins too happy. We have a sstarbucks next
door and probably could get LOTS.
