Re: fertilizer and lime


John,
   Your pH is fine where it is and the manure will not change it much. pH
will slowly drift down over a period of years if you have a typical Eastern
location. If you have a sandy loam, add 1 pound of lime to 100 sq. feet to
change pH one tenth of a unit. If soil is heavy it might take 1.5 pounds. If
you have dairy manure with barn grit in it, your pH probably won't change
much anyway.
