Vickie,

I would just like to say that the World Pumpkin Confederation contained all
the positive aspects you just referred to concerning pumpkin growing relative
to the Outside Magazine article.  Many growers still believe in the
brotherhood, support and common goal the WPC instilled in this sport/hobby.
 I am optimistic that all those who still believe in this pumpkin "vision"
will continue, with, just this approach to giant pumpkin growing and not let
the negative aspects you protrayed distroy the ambitions for this pastime.

P.S.  Media is sometimes unfair, unjust and unaware of the good that has been
done.  Lets see how the "World of Wonder" on the Discovery Channel - March
18th (Tues.) at 9:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. (just after the late news!) and
Sunday, March 23rd at 7:30 p.m. (primetime) deal with pumpkin growing!  I
believe these times to be EST, but please check your local cable guide.
 Could someone please send me a tape of this as I don't have cable?  Thanks.
