Joe,

I think granular diazinon and/or beneficial nematodes may be able to
eliminate borers from the soil in my patch at least.  Then mosquito
netting could keep off the new ones.  Also would allow me to completely
control pollination without having to tie or bag each flower.  What do
you (and others) think?
