 Information about mist blowers:

Controlling Damaging Pests: Do It Right or Not At All <Picture>

There are growers who will make every effort to purchase a pesticide
registered to control a particular pest, but then carry out an improper
application, resulting in poor or no pest management. A lickety split, "get
it
over with"attitude of applying the improper amount of pesticide on the plant
is simply time wasted, poor pesticide expenditure and environmental misuse of
a pesticide. This attitude toward spraying should not occur in commercial
plantings. As the saying goes, "Do it right or not at all."

Since disease-causing agents are microscopic, it is especially difficult for
some growers to envision the need for thorough application of a fungicide on
a
 plant for disease management.

Fungicides are used to protect the plant and should be applied to all plant
parts, including both upper and lower leaf surfaces.

Every effort should be made to thoroughly cover the plant with the proper
dosage of pesticide over the plant to control the target pest. When using a
manually operated compressed air sprayer, be sure to maintain pressure to
obtain the proper spray delivery to the plant. On larger acreages of
commercial plantings, the spray equipment to use is a backpack, engine-
mounted
mist blower. This equipment provides excellent spray coverage. In September,
the mist blower was demonstrated to a group of growers and vocational-
agriculture students in Mason County. These individuals were quite impressed
with the ease of operation and handling as well as spray coverage of the mist
blower. A demonstrational trial will be conducted next year, using the mist
 blower.

Where can I get more information about the Solo gas powered mist blower????
