22 March. Lectures commence at 9:30 a.m.. The registration desk and the
seed bazaar will be open at 8:00 a.m.

In excess of 3,000 of the best pumpkin seeds available in the world
today will be offered at this seed bazaar. The doors to the bazaar will
open at exactly 8:00 a.m.

Lectures to be given will cover the following subjects Care of the
Soil, Seed Genetics, Pumpkin Diseases, Giant Watermelon Growing, and The
Joys of Urban Backyard Growing.

The meeting will be addressed by the Chairman of the Great Pumpkin

This year's seminar has attracted a large number of USA growers
from as far south as Virginia. Canadian growers are coming from all parts
of Ontario and Quebec, and from the Maritimes. A grower from Switzerland
is attending.

On Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. there will be a social hour
followed by a dinner at the Market Square Inn, Dalhousie Street.

The Ottawa-St.Lawrence Growers hold their contest in Ottawa's
ByWard Market and in 1997 sold their top 4 pumpkins to a retailer in Japan.

This seminar is also the first Ontario Conference and is being
actively supported by the pumpkin groups in Port Elgin, Sarnia and Norfolk
County.
