Mike,
I'm still trying to get over the 70lb mark. Cross breeding by the heavy
hitters seems to be the way to go. Good genetics and plant husbandry seems to
be working. All we rookies can do is match and mirror what they do. Then
maybe we can get their results. I don't think that there are shortcuts. I'm
not afraid to share what I know; which isn't much. I think what we need to
get a 1200 lber is good seed, experience, the time to work in the garden,
unlimited manure/water (resources), room for 3 to 10 plants, good weather and
maybe some devine intervention.
Maybe Joe's newsletter will be a good forum for new ideas and cooperation.
