I've been going through a lot of statistics lately in working on my
geneologyy project and have noticed a definite decline in those growing
giant squash. The Ottawa-St.Lawrence Newletter (probably THE top
newsletter) reports very few results for squash. Is there a conscious
decision for this or has recent cross breeding all but bred out the
'green gene'? Is the 'squash' genetically inferior or has pumpkin
popularity simply taken over? Also, wasn't a giant squash the first to
break the 500 pound mark?
