Judy,
THere are two ways to name pumpkins:
One is the traditional way after the parent and the weight of the parent. The
parent often takes the name of the grower, then can have a long lineage if it
is a good seed.
Second is the fun way, which I prefer. I have some of the best and worst
pumpkin names on my website. (All in fun) Remember pumpkins respond to your
affections. And, importatnly, a pumpkin can be offended.
