    I wouldn't put the critical date right at the 22nd so I would say by the
18th to 24th because it is still very close to the same length.  Some problems
could occur by setting the fruit when the day length is still increasing.
However, if the days have long enough light to fill the needs of the sensory
adjustment by the plant before the longest day, the fruit should still do
pretty well.  I would think that setting more than three weeks before the long
day would cause some problems, but not necessarily eliminate the possibility of
getting a big pumpkin.
