I have been experimenting with using rockwool cubes to start seeds in. My
first try has been very successful. I have a seedling that is a week old and
the first true leaf is almost open. There is no sign of roots showing through
the outside of the cubes. I used a 4x4x3 cube and then I fitted another cube
to the bottom because the cubes have slots on the bottom that will lock
together. The plant looks very healthy and I have only watered it once and
that was yesterday. The rockwool holds moisture well, but allows a great
deal of air circulation.
Has anyone used these in the past and if so have they encountered any
problems down the road?
If anyone wants more info please E-mail Me.
