Mike: Adding organic material ie manure or compost will tend to make soil more
acidic(below 7.0) adding lime you will raise the soil ph towards aklaline
(above 7.0) which is where your soil is!!
it is far easier to raise a soils ph (towards nuetral) then it is to lower it
back towards acidic.
that's why it is important to not overlime!!
Peat moss, sulfur and aluminum sulfate will help lower ph back toward acidic i'd
go with the peat moss myself.
