Pollination
Good morning, all.
Pollinated my first female this AM at 8:15. It is a lovely 5 lobed flower,
hiding under a big leaf.
I am pleased at the number of flowers on my plants and hope that the next
female that's about a week behind this one is also as nice. Of course, the
fragrance in the patch is delightful.
In case you're wondering, the two plants that are blooming right now were
grown from my 189. It was a good cross between the Eaton 780 and the Brock
561, harvested in it's infancy due to vine rot. I was lucky to get a few
hundred fine seeds.
Why grow seeds from a 189 pounder? Genetics.
I hope I've kicked off a good season for all of us here in the northern
hemisphere. Good luck to everyone and keep us posted on your progress!
