Floating row covers are spunbonded polyproplene it is very light weight.
With proper care can last a few seasons. In the field it tears easily. It
is porous and allow ventilation. You could make it last longer if you had
a low sort of pvc pipe frame so it won't snag its designed to just pull
over row crops...MB
