Re: 937 Mombert

Gary,
I grew the Mombert 937 last year. It was my second best plant, but grew
my largest pumpkin 514 Lbs. The 1056 Stellpflug was my best plant. The 514
had good color and was a tall semi-wheel shaped. I had four others on this
plant in the 400+ lb range that were all barrel shaped. I also grew the 844
Mombert that was a pumpkin on the same plant with the 937. It grew a 499lb
pumpkin of perfect shape and color. All other pumpkins on the 844 plant had
the exact same shape and color. The father of the 844 was the 726 McDonald
known for good color and weight. I believe Paul Handy grew his 906 from it
several years ago. The 937 had the 946.5 Geerts as it's male pollinator. As
you know the mother of both was the 576.5 Mombert.
