MB,
Jim Kuhn's 929.2 was left in a glass case at Topsfield Fair. Almost all
the seeds sprouted. Very few seeds survived. George Lloyd grew a 906.5 and
his wife had a big one too. So the last remaining seeds can still grow a big
one!

A little off the subject of Silver bullet seeds but leaving it in the glass
case should not have contributed to the seeds sprouting, the case was air
conditioned. In most cases I believe it's because the Pumpkin is very
mature. His also had a bad spot that started to decay. He has also had a
terrible time with that disease that causes the whole vine to collapse into a
brown soup.
