I'm glad you cleared up the misunderstanding. From those May and June postings, we thought you were trying to make some quick money as you left the hobby behind. I agree, it is unfortunate that we reacted the way we did, not knowing your true intent.

But, that's behind us. You've got an organization in need of help now and you should get completely different results today if you want to conduct an auction or two.

Duncan has posted some fair guidelines for seed auctions and, now, everyone understands your intent. So let's get your society up on its feet.

I have not got out of the hobby of Giant Pumpkins but i just do not have the ground on which to grow them anymore.

I am glad that you reminded me of the posting that i put on the mailing list dated June 6 1999. I did make the terrible and most unforgivable (tong in cheek) mistake of not mentioning at the time that the money from the sale of the 567.5 seed would have gone towards trying to revive a Society that i was the Chairman of at the time.
