seed/fruit chat

Hello folks it's been awhile. I've sure been seeing alot of seed inventories
lately. Sounds like folks are getting the "urge" again and with only 100
days or so to go before germination time, some of you must be as nervous as
a whore in church about the upcoming season.Lets talk traits. Question-- If
a fruit weighs in at 10% above or below what the charts say, is it due to
genetics, or due to a nutritional factor. As a group do we feel this trait
is one that is passed on, or is it due to growing techniques? I've also
noticed the last 2 years that majority of squash I've seen at weigh-offs
weigh in above what the charts say. Does one know if squash possess
something that our sacred pumpkins don't?. Or do we need a different weight
est. chart for squash? Just questioning out loud. Happy Growing!
