Hello Pumpkin growers,
Congratulations to Mark Richard. Marks bid
of $74 was high for the day. I would like to thank everyone who participated
in the auction this year. Your support has been overwhelming and extremely
appreciated. Be sure to read the note below about the condition of the Lloyd
935 seed before bidding today. The 935 was very slightly damaged during mail
transport with a 4 mm. small hairline crack.
All bids are to be submitted privately to the following address:
Brad2Julie@aol.com NO BIDS SENT TO THE PUMPKINS@MALLORN LIST WILL BE
ACCEPTED. Otherwise we would have a list full of bids cluttering up our
e-mail. This is a silent auction(i.e. nobody will know what you have bid.)
Keep in mind though, If you win, your winning bid will be posted the following
day. The Day 9 offer will end at mid-night Thursday. There will be five
seeds a day offered up for bid. The seeds are to be bid on as a group not
individually. You do not have to be a list member to bid on seeds. As long as
you can access these emails through the archives that is fine. Please bid in
whole dollar amounts(i.e. $31, $46 not $46.03).
If all goes well the auction will last for ten days. Everyone who grows
Giant pumpkins is welcomed to bid except for those living in the State of
Oregon. Oregon forbids the sale of vegetable seeds in its state without a
special license which we do not have. If you live in Oregon and would like
seeds please fell free to email me to discuss this further.
Todays seeds are:(Bid on the whole group)
*(see note below) 935 Lloyd - 875 Lloyd x 909.5 Lloyd
908.5 Eaton - 780 Eaton x 780 Eaton
657 Holland - 567.5 Mombert x 935 Lloyd
837 Thorson - 563 Geerts x 690 Sproule
815 Mappes - 759est. Ciliberto x 854a Holland
* The Lloyd 935 was slightly damaged during mail transport. When viewing the
935 with the seed point down. One can see a small hairline crack about 1/3 of
the way up the seed. The starts on the side and continues toward he middle.
The total length of the crack is approx. 4mm. To give you some reference,
the total width of the seed is about 16mm. In other words it goes about 1/4
of the way across the seed. Pretty small but we thought we should note it.
The winner of this seed has the option to return it and the other seeds for a
full refund if not satisfied. The seed was received second hand from an
exeprienced and trusted grower. Even still I called George and verified the
individual had in fact received the seed from George. It looks just like my
935 from last year if that helps as well. Happy bidding
For more detailed information about these seeds and their
backgrounds. Check out the new cucurbyte web at:

I hope you all enjoy the auction during the next 2 plus weeks.
If you have any further questions feel free to ask. Thank you
for
your support.
Brad Walters
