Attention all you Gourds wannabes
List,
I have just opened up a couple of my gourds from last year and have
found a wonderful supply of what appears to be nice viable seeds!! Some
had already sprouted inside!!
I have 2 different kinds available. The first are from the gourds I grew
from Steve Clarke's 97" of 1998. These did not get as long as Steve's
but last year was tough. I harvested a bunch from 2 70" gourds today.
These were a pale green and on the thick side. If you know long gourds
Thinner is usually better. these seeds look really nice.
The other 2 gourds I harvested are from last years 83"and 80" ! These
were grown from my 1997 90.25" . These gourds were a Beautiful dark
green and yellow marble. These also were very thin and thinner usually
means longer. The top section of these 2 gourds was not even as thick as
a broom handle. My 1997 90.25" also produced Dick Stivers 85" in 1998
and his 90" last year. They all have the same look. That dark Green
marble!! Very pretty.
So if your interested in seed drop me a note and a SASE and they are
yours!! Good luck in 2000!!!!
The Carlsons Dan aand Beth
P.S. Mike T you just tell me if you want them and they will be in the
mail as soon as they are dry!!!!
