Deteriorating List
Maybe I have been a member of the list for too long? Maybe I am just not with
it? Maybe Duncan has gotten through to me? However, I am beginning to feel
that this site has turned into a combination of chat room/seed lottery. When
we first started it was not that way. It was mostly questions and answers
about how to grow the "big one." There was at times disagreement but nothing
really personal. It seems to me that somewhere along the line money was
introduced. Selling seeds to maybe cover the cost of postage and then fund
raising and then direct sales. Along with this came negativity and more and
more personal posting and chatting which really seemed out of place but now
prevails. I got a lot from this list. I learned more than I could have
anywhere else. May and the beginning of the growing season in North America
is almost upon us. Most of us are residing in this region. Maybe we could all
get "back to the basics?"
