Was pumpkin - now 'squash' in NZ

I was summer pruning the grapes this afternoon to let the sun on the
bunches. I stumbled and tripped on the clippings. To cut a long story short
I lost my balance and trod on the primary runner of the Emmons. I had to
chop it off and bring around another runner. Must have lost a weeks growth -
sorry Geneva.

Looks like there are a few big pumpkin festivals around Europe.

As a point of interest we not do throw out pumpkins with holes. We are
fairly relaxed about that as the kids have taken the trouble to grow them.
We are strict that we only allow AGs. We have had cases where people go to
the supermarket to buy them on the day.

Our 'payback' is that we encourage family teams and as it is a formal
Council event - all genuine growers are welcomed. But - I do not remember
seeing any with holes in the five years of our festival.

My question re the biggest pumpkin festival really only related to AGs

Good to see you on the list Jack.
